WHAT HAPPENED?
Aubameyang is set to make a shock return to Marseille, after just one season away in Saudi Arabia, and will sign a two-year contract with the French side. However, the transfer is yet to be formalised announced, leaving Aubameyang to take to social media to reveal his frustrations.

Aubameyang will add more firepower to a Marseille side that finished as runners-up behind PSG in Ligue 1 last season and qualified for the Champions League. The 36-year-old is back from a season in the Saudi Pro League with Al Qadasiya where he netted 17 goals in 32 league appearances. Aubameyang thrived in his previous spell at Marseille, banging in 30 goals in 51 matches back in the 2023-24 campaign.

WHAT NEXT FOR AUBAMEYANG?
Aubameyang is clearly hoping to get back to action with Marseille as soon as possible. Roberto De Zerbi's side thumped Dutch side Excelsior 5-0 in their last pre-season friendly and play again on Monday against OC Charleroi.
